The MUG Center Survey: What Apple User Group Resources Does Your Group Use?

Survey Dates: 2/9/05 - 2/15/05

Apple provides a variety of materials and resources for user groups to take advantage of for the benefit of their groups. Some require "recognized" status, while others are open to anyone who is running any type of group, or is simply interested in the world of MUGs.

Comments:

  • We haven't heard from our Regional Liaison in a long time. Emails are not answered.

  • Way too hard to gain eligability to receive resources. I run three groups that miss out on resources yet if their memberships were combined would qualify. Due to a structural choice we get nothing.

  • Can we get more really useful resources?

  • very useful. just like to see the mailboxes more frequently and access to high-qual standalone version of Keynote speeches asap

  • It seems like there is no consistency in being approved or not approved as a user group. The rules keep changing.

  • To be honest we use none. I subscribed to the UG list only because it's interesting. None of the resources are especially relevant to what we do.

  • I thought that Apple was supposed to help user groups form. We have applied three times and been turned down because we aren't big enough.
