Storage systems have come a long way and the boys from ProMAX are going to go through a brief technical history and a show and tell on Storage for Video Editors Today. Whether you are still editing on Firewire, have a multi-seat XSAN installation, or are curious about ISCSI, SSD and Light Peak, you will walk away with something you can use from this discussion. Storage is a changing.; Larry Jordan returns and will show some tips and techniques on making your video look like film. ; Less than 7 weeks ago, three young film makers set themselves a unique, and grueling, challenge: to make a 90 minute feature film – from initial concept to end of production – in just 30 days.; Marcin Teodoru, Tom Cole, and Aaron Grasso, had no crew, no budget, and no script, just an intense collective of energy, enthusiasm, and talent. They managed to rally over 70 industry professionals for the production and on December 20, 2009, 30 days after announcing the challenge on their website, they wrapped production on “Closure”, starring Victor Browne, Stephanie Drapeau and Kevin Sizemore. “Closure”, shot on RED, is a dark tale of revenge and redemption. The team is currently in the middle of editing the feature. They will talk about the making of the film and show an exclusive clip from the movie.
