The MUG Event Calendar for May 19: Garr Reynolds, Alex Lindsay, Prosoft Engineering, Tropical Software, DriveSavers, and a Whole Lot More

MUG Event Calendar 2008A very busy week on the MUG Event Calendar features speakers, vendors, great topics and more.

Presentation guru Garr Reynolds will deliver his message to a group in Japan, and digital video expert Alex Lindsay will visit a Final Cut Pro group in Massachusetts. Jennifer Bell of Prosoft Engineering will be the guest of honor at one California group, James Lee of Tropical Software will present to another, and John Christopher of DriveSavers will talk to yet a third.

That’s hardly the end of the list, however. A digital video site will be the focus at a Michigan group, desktop publishing at a high level will be discussed in Florida, Filemaker’s new Bento headlines in Florida. There will be an iMovie ’08 vs. Final Cut Express showdown in Michigan, a security presentation in Tennessee and a MUG picnic in Nebraska.

Some of the more interesting meeting titles for the month include “You Ought to be in Pixels” in South Carolina, “Encoding Night” at a FCP group in California, and “Digital Photography: Soup to Nuts” in Oregon.
