EmiratesMac Sets A Fast Pace with Unique Promotion
Sep 15, 2006
MacEmiritesA few weeks ago we told you about EmiratesMac, the first Mac User Group in the United Arab Emirates, that was just getting started. Well, that was then, this is now, and EmiratesMac is fast out of the gate.

Magnus Nystedt, one of the group's founders told The MUG Center that is group has just been approved as an Apple-recognized group. Not bad for just a couple weeks as a MUG.

But more interesting and unique is the fact that they are promoting the group in very unusual fashion. One of their members, "iDubai," will be participating in the Gulf Radical Cup high performance car series, and has agreed to have the EmiratesMac logo displayed prominently on his car's front fenders.

Not content with that, the group is arranging to have as many members as possible present, all wearing EmiratesMac shirts and hats to both support their car and promote the group as well.

When was the last time your group's logo went whizzing by at over 100 mph?

You can see all the details, including a mock-up of the Radical car with the EmiratesMac logo, on the EmiratesMac web site.
