IDG World Expo Appoints Mac Industry Veteran Paul Kent as Vice President to Lead Macworld Conference & Expo
Kent has been the Macworld Conference chairperson since 1997
Framingham, Mass. – December 20, 2005 – IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for IT markets, today announced the appointment of Mac industry veteran Paul Kent as Vice President. In this expanded role, Kent will be responsible for the overall growth and management of Macworld Conference & Expo. Kent has spent the past eight years as the Conference Chairperson for Macworld Conference & Expo where he managed all the educational and training content of Macworld’s world-class conference program.
Kent is a 22 year veteran of the Mac industry. As the founder of Mactivity, Inc. he’s been a technical consultant, author, conference producer and industry strategist. In addition to Macworld, Kent has played a major role with the production of many of the conferences that have shaped the technology industry, including: Mactivity, Interop, Voice on the Net, Java Business Expo, QuickTime Live and Programmable World.
