IDG World Expo has announced the schedule for the Users Conference and the Hands-on MacLabs at Macworld Conference & Expo®, taking place January 9-13, 2006 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The Users Conference is designed for Mac users of all skill levels. The Hands-on MacLabs are half-day sessions that provide hands-on computer training.

The Users Conference continues its long-standing tradition as one of the best Mac education values, presenting a broad array of training opportunities for Mac users of all skill levels. Attendees can improve their mastery of Mac OS X, learn to master the new features of their favorite productivity tools, and expand their creative horizons in the fields of digital photography and digital video production.

Users Conference attendees can choose from nearly 30 conference sessions over two days. The sessions are 75 minutes each and cover a wide variety of topics. The five tracks in the Users Conference are titled: “Mac Power User,” “Creative Tools,” “Digital Photography,” “Digital Video” and “Productivity.” Featured sessions include:

  • “Tiger Secrets,” Join this highly entertaining session as popular New York Times columnist, David Pogue, makes Mac OS X Tiger, sing, dance, and walk on its head.

  • “Digital Storytelling with Your iLife Media,” iLife allows nonprofessionals to achieve amazingly professional results with your digital media: photos, movies, music.

  • “Getting Better Pictures from Your Digital Camera,” photo expert, Ben Long, covers all of the fundamental photographic concepts that a good photographer needs to know, whether they're shooting digital or film.
