MacGroup-Detroit
MacGroup-Detroit has good reason to celebrate this week, and it has nothing to do with the holiday.

Their November meeting brought in a record number of attendees to see Apple Senior Systems Engineer Dave Marra show off Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. With the many notable speakers that MacGroup schedules each year, that is no small accomplishment.

The good news doesn’t end there, however. On the same night, Mary Resnik joined MacGroup, becoming their 500th member. Not even knowing about the possibilities when she signed up, Mary will receive a custom engraved commemorative iPod touch and a 500GB external hard drive.

MacGroup has posted extensive notes and photos of the meeting on their web site for all to enjoy.

MacGroup has a reputation for being an enthusiastic, innovative group, offering such benefits as QuickTime videos of their meetings, full DVDs of their meetings, outstanding guest speakers and more.

Congratulations to MacGroup president Terry White and all the MacGroup officers and members for creating and supporting one of the most successful Mac User Groups around.
