TMC Survey: What Day of the Week Does Your User Group Meet?

Trying to accommodate their member's busy schedules is a challenge for every user group. Picking a meeting day that isn't in competition with other activities isn't always possible. Some groups find that weekend meetings work well, to avoid business and family commitment conflicts, while others determine that a week night is the best time to get meeting space and draw a crowd.

- Nope, been that way LONG before "Must See TV" was on Thursday night so it just stuck. Some Users day Thursday Evenings are bud but almost every night is bad for some members.No one ever remembers when meetings are on Mondays. Having meetings on Tuesdays gives the leadership a chance to remind everyone.

- Tues. day troubleshooting; Wed. evening meeting with speaker. Each once a month.
- No real particular reason. Seemed like it is what the users wanted and we could dedicate more time.

- First Saturday of the month - allows use of TAFE College facilities to run sessions all day from 10.30am and finishing at 5pm 2nd Tuesday - evening session in church hall suits members interested in Multimedia 2nd Wednesday - morning session in church hall suits retired and other members
- members agree that Saturday best meets thier needs
- There is a preference to keep it during the work week. For a while we did it on Fridays which some people didn't like cause of going away on the weekend (vacations and stuff)
- Best compromise to meet our members' schedules.
