The MUG Event Calendar for October 29: Andy Ihnatko, Dave Marra of Apple, James Lee of Tropical Software, Gary Barker, Philip Hodgetts and the First User Groups 2.0 Virtual Conference

MUG Event CalendarHalloween week features all treats and no tricks on The MUG Event Calendar.

MacNotable Andy Ihnatko of the Chicago Sun-Times will virtual visit a group in Ohio, Apple Senior Systems Engineer Dave Marra is back on the road in Pennsylvania and James Lee of Tropical Software will make the first in a series of appearances in Florida. “Mac Man” Garry Barker will speak to an Australian Group and Philip Hodgetts will address an FCP group in California.

The MUG Center’s first User Groups 2.0 Virtual Conference will be held this week, providing a much-needed forum for user group leadership issues, advice and discussion. James Lee of Tropical Software will be the keynote speaker, providing some well-researched suggestions on vendor relations.

Other items on this week’s list include the very first Leopard meetings, suggestions for buying a new Mac, holiday gift ideas, demos of iVisit, Skype and MS Office, and more.
