The MUG Event Calendar for August 27: Prosoft Engineering, Gary Byrd of RapidWeaver Themes, Garry “Mac Man” Barker and Final Cut Pro User Group Meeting

Even if this week’s MUG Event Calendar is a little quiet, there are still interesting presentations on the agendas of those groups who are meeting.

The folks from Prosoft Engineering will make yet another user group appearance this week, visiting a California Group. Gary Byrd of RapidWeaver Themes will show off the web design software his company creates themes for in Louisiana, and Garry “Mac Man” Barker, a well-known Mac advocate in the Australian press, will make yet another MUG appearance in Australia.

Other topics for the week include, obviously, iLife ’08, the iPhone, Roxiou’s Toast 8 titanium, and podcasting. Two Final Cut Pro Groups will spend their meetings talking about backup and archival solutions, LiveType, Soundtrack Pro and more.
